Agora: A Collaborative Virtual Learning Environment

In March 2007 I submitted a concept paper to SIGGRAPH's S2007 Educators' Program. It was selected by jury for publication and presentation at August's conference. The paper was co-authored by Valérie Chartrand.
Together, Valérie and I worked on "Agora" at The Canadian Heritage Information Network for 12 months. It was launched in Fall 2007 for evaluation and has been live since. The virtual learning environment is scheduled for a full launch in the fall of 2008.
This paper outlines our concept of Agora and explores the constraints, hurdles, and challenges we have faced through it's design and preparation for pilot release.
